Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in our main office, New York City. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. In addition to traditional accounting duties, the ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and proficiency in ConnectWise and QuickBooks, the core business software utilized within our organization. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data while providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  3. Maintain and optimize ConnectWise QuickBooks software systems to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  4. Help develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  5. Prepare and analyze financial reporting, including forecasts, and variance reports to provide insights into financial performance and support business relevant decision making.
  6. Collaborate with other department managers to gain further financial insights.
  7. Lead (external) accounting staff, providing guidance as needed.
  8. Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  2. Proven experience (>8 years) in accounting or finance roles, ideally in an IT Managed Services company with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  3. Extensive knowledge and proficiency in ConnectWise and QuickBooks software.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  9. High level of integrity and professionalism​​​​​​​
