Position Summary: We are looking for an Education Product Manager to manage the development and continuous improvement of our reading programs, workshops, and other related products. This role is at the intersection of technology, education, and business, requiring a blend of skills in product development, market analysis, and user experience design. The ideal candidate will be able to act as a unifying source amongst multiple departments to ensure product launches are executed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and engage with educators, students, and other stakeholders to gather insights and identify requirements that drive development.
  • Lead the planning, development, and launch of innovative reading intervention courses and products, from initial concept through deployment.
  • Work closely with curriculum developers, self-paced developers, and publications experts to ensure products are user-friendly, educationally effective, and technologically advanced.
  • Develop and implement product strategies, roadmaps, and business plans that align with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including market analysis, product positioning, competitive analysis, and ongoing enhancements based on user/market feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support product launch and promotion, providing expertise and materials to enable effective communication of product benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the educational technology sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage products through the entire lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of current trends in education, specifically in reading intervention and literacy, is highly desirable.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, tablets, or any other device necessary to meet the needs of the department.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our company offers flex hours that can be established with the immediate supervisor.

Travel: Primarily local but travel to support meetings with internal and external stakeholders is possible.
