Objective: Collecting admission fees and verifying memberships at the pool.

Work Schedule: Part time; hours include afternoon, evening and weekend

Physical Demands:

  1. Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting or standing for various lengths of time.

  1. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Record admission of pool members by writing their valid membership tag numbers on the appropriate Seasonal or Daily log sheet.

  1. Calculate the admission fees for Daily pool members, receive monies from members and provide change if necessary.

  1. Calculate the admission fees for guests of members, receive monies from members or guests, and record on the appropriate log sheet while adhering to the guest guidelines and enforcing them if necessary.

  1. Maintain membership files to assist in verification of membership and membership type.

  1. Distribute membership tags as needed.

  1. Prepare daily deposits and turn them in to the pool manager daily.

  1. Communicate pool rules and policies in a professional and courteous manner to patrons.

  1. At the beginning of the shift set up the cashier stand; at the end of the shift break down the cashier stand.

  1. Must keep cash box secure at all times; only pool staff may substitute at the cashier stand if cashier is on break.

  1. Find a substitute when unable to report to work for scheduled shift.

  1. Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons. Maintain positive rapport and professional image with patrons. Answer questions on pool programs, special events, and registration.

  1. Perform maintenance duties as directed by superior (e.g., clean bathrooms, pick up litter, empty trashcans, etc.)

  1. Report major infractions of rules to pool manager.

  1. Complete other assignments as required.

  1. Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies.

  1. Ability to enforce pool policies while providing a high level of customer service to patrons, staff, and community members.

  1. Ability to display a positive attitude for all patrons and staff.

  1. Ability to prioritize tasks, manager their time and balance professional and personal commitments.

  1. Arrives prepared and on time for work and consistently demonstrates service excellence.

  1. Able to access a situation and make an informed decision independently.

  1. Ability to work as a team with lifeguards, staff and management.
