Spectrum Energy is looking for Summer 2023 Interns
Spectrum Energy provides consulting services to building owners, contractors, and consulting firms. We identify and quantify energy efficiency improvements. Spectrum Utilizes energy audits and commissioning services to verify building system functionality and performance.
WHAT WILL YOUR INTERNSHIP CONSIST OF?
  • Acquiring experience from a team of accomplished Engineers, who specialized in energy – including conducting Energy Audits to develop energy savings reports for clients.
  • Calculating prescriptive and custom incentives for energy efficiency and supporting submission of incentive applications.
  • Aiding in Energy Modeling of Buildings and relevant projects (ex. Schools, multifamily, office buildings, and manufacturing); creating Energy Star Scores.
  • Collaborating with General Manager, Senior Energy Engineer, Energy Engineers, and Project Administrators on projects to coordinate activities.

QUALIFICATIONS include the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree currently in progress in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, or other related areas.
  • Has an interest in Energy Conservation.
  • Interest in HVAC industry, and a potential HVAC related career track.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Web-enabled applications.
  • Ready to learn and volunteer to assist others.
  • Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior in a team environment.
  • Excellent math aptitude.
  • Possess time management skills and the ability to follow up.
  • Junior and senior level students strongly preferred but class level not required.
