Furniture.com is a high growth consumer tech start up that is addressing fundamental challenges in the $200B US furniture space. The company is a B2B and B2C digital aggregator with a simple mission: To make finding furniture easy.

For consumers, we make it easy to find the right furniture by enhancing search and streamlining the end-to-end customer experience. For retail partners, we deliver a digital platform allowing them to expand their reach with a high-intent, high value furniture audience.

Furniture.com is growing fast. Our team is comprised of furniture experts (obviously) as well as world class technologists and brand builders. We come from a variety of walks of life and can be found either in Atlanta or in NYC. We are backed by the investment arm of one of America's largest furniture retailers, although we are independent and proudly building a technology in service of the furniture industry and furniture shoppers.

Position Overview:

We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic and capable Product Owner to play a key role in the enhancement and growth of our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to the evolution of our data-driven initiatives, ensuring our offerings meet both business objectives and customer expectations. Working closely with a dynamic team, this position involves turning business needs into actionable plans, fostering collaboration across departments, and overseeing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.


Responsibilities:

  • Help push features through the product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and marketing, to define and prioritize features for e-commerce platforms.
  • Utilize market research and customer feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and enhancements for the merchandising experience.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, outlining short and long-term goals for product development and improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, write comprehensive user stories, and communicate the product vision effectively.
  • Assist in supporting the Lead Product Manager in strategic planning and execution of the overall product strategy.
  • Conduct regular analysis of product performance metrics and KPIs, making data-driven decisions to optimize user experience and drive business objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to ensure the product remains innovative and competitive.
    Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner in the merchandising or e-commerce domain.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product development projects and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, user experience, and merchandising strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in utilizing data to make informed product decisions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile product development teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
