100% Remote (EST Work Hours)


As a Technical Product Manager, you will be joining our Fortune Top 20 client’s highly visible product organization in the home retail industry. You will be running scrum ceremonies and coordinating software engineers responsible for the retirement of legacy components and systems. Within your designated enterprise product line, you will focus on delivering incremental value by driving product changes and working closely with a team of developers, program managers, and business partners. You will support in-depth business reviews, communicate and present across all levels of the organization, and support cross-functional product teams while working alongside a Product Manager in the same product space.


Responsibilities:

50% Delivery & Execution, 30% People, 20% Strategy & Planning

  • Ensure product is aligned with company and program priorities to drive retirement and rehome efforts for a legacy software platform.
  • Coordinate with release and infrastructure teams to align on requirements and timelines for feature delivery and change management.
  • Create, prioritize, and accept user stories; incorporate them into release planning.
  • Identify pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value associated with features and enhancements.
  • Participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product alignment, and prioritization sessions.
  • Condense complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration with team members (Engineering, User Experience Designers, etc.) to drive value and collectively identify and resolve impediments.
  • Manage cross functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy; educate requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience.
  • Translate business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicate direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
  • Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; continually making recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ enterprise-level experience as a Product Manager.
  • Experience in the functional execution of a large-scale platform retirement.
  • Demonstrated experience with modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies, specifically the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous deployment.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, fluid environment where priorities shift on a regular basis.
  • Experience communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all levels in the organization.
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, software design and development team.
  • Experience identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
  • Experience running scrum ceremonies and coordinating the work of Software Engineers.
  • Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories.
  • Experience using Jira to manage and refine the product backlog.
