The Assistant Controller is an integral member of the accounting team. The Assistant Controller will oversee accounting functions and create financial reports. The Assistant Controller will also be key in working with outside auditors and internal project teams.

Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Complete monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and monitor Aging reports
  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly journal entries
  • Reconcile inter-company transactions
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist with year-end audits: Insurance & Financial
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned by CFO/Controller

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA designation preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Office & Outlook); experience with financial software systems preferred
  • Experience working with Spectrum by Viewpoint is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
