What We Are Looking For
The Instructional Design Support Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of course content management across all university programs. Acting as a first-tier resource, this position provides comprehensive support to faculty, staff, and students in utilizing and navigating instructional design applications. The specialist is responsible for assisting with the configuration and optimization of LMS courses, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the effective delivery of training materials and course content. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and consistency of instructional design standards, contributing to the overall success of the university's academic offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- LMS and Instructional Design Support: Assist university instructional designers in configuring LMS courses, creating training materials, and providing technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
- Training and Orientation: Support LMS training sessions, student orientations, and coordinate course reviews for faculty and staff.
- Technical and Administrative Duties: Provide first-tier technical support for LMS and Examsoft, manage instructional design-related tickets, and perform routine administrative tasks including report preparation.
- Policy and Process Development: Participate in developing and implementing instructional design policies, standards, and processes to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
- College degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field, or applied experience in instructional design and development with background in learning and instruction, program development and evaluation is required.
- 2-3 years of experience working with a learning management system is required.
