Military Fulfillment Scheduler

Job Location: Ontario, CA

Job Summary:

The Military Fulfillment Scheduler will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, scheduling, timely kitting, and sourcing for all military product shipments to the DLA with a goal of achieving 95% OTD (On-Time Delivery). This role requires a strong understanding of fulfillment, supply chain principles, lean methodologies, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements for Success:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive schedules for all DLA orders, including management of the packaging queue in the kitting cell, ensuring the progression of a goal to achieve 95% OTD.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope, timelines, and resources.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing, to ensure seamless integration and execution of schedules.
  • Become a backup to the packaging supervisor to support vacations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential resource constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to OTD and related tasks to ensure a 95% OTD with the DLA.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on schedule adherence, resource utilization, and overall performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Recommended but not required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with DLA or other defense-related logistics operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Proficient in scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
