The privilege of serving patients at the end of life throughout New Jersey. We are dedicated to advancing the quality of hospice care in the communities that we serve. Our promise is to utilize the inherent expertise of our staff to educate consumers and serve patients and families with the highest level of dignity and grace.
Purpose:The Intake Department Manager is a skilled intake coordinator whose job is to maintain and manage the incoming patient referrals and supervise the Intake Staff. This person will also assist in other duties relating to compliance and other office functions.
Responsibilities:
- Presents a positive, professional image of the organization on the phone and in all interactions with clients, patient/family members, staff and others
- Process and document all new referralse
- Contact referral source to update on intake process
- To ensure compliance, follow up and track
- Provide weekly feedback status to the Director of Business Development, Clinical Director, Billing Coordinator, and Administrator
- Assist other members of the management team with delegated clerical functions
- Back-up to the Clinical Program Support Coordinator in placing DME orders and pick-ups and maintains record of dates ordered and picked up.
♦ High school graduate or equivalent
♦ Three years relevant prior work experience
♦ Excellent communication & organizational skills
♦ At least one year of Supervisory experience preferred
♦ Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
♦ Able to handle multiple tasks
♦ Good typing skills
♦ Excellent telephone skills and professionalism
