POSITION PURPOSE

CHC: Creating Healthier Communities (CHC) exists so that every person in every community has an opportunity to live their healthiest lives. We build partnerships to address health inequities by fostering trusted community engagement, fundraising, and offering programs and services to help support communities where everyone can thrive. Together with partners, we’ve been creating healthier communities for more than 65 years.

The Associate, Nonprofit Partnerships is a temporary position form September 2024 - February 2025. The Associate, Nonprofit Partnerships assists in building and maintaining strong, long‐lasting relationships with nonprofit partners, identifies growth opportunities for existing nonprofit partners, and supports departmental recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast‐paced, result‐orientated environment, operates with a sense of intrinsic motivation, welcomes input from others, and executes tasks efficiently with accurate outcomes. This is a great position for professional development, and will sharpen skills such as organization and management, communication, awareness of nonprofit organizations, and CHC’s role in the local communities across the country. The Campaign Associate position is a part-time role working 25 hours per week. Hours are flexible during normal working hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage a portfolio of existing nonprofit partner relationships and establish trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and partner stakeholders through proactive communications.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to partner needs and objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities for nonprofit partners, prepare reports on account status, and promote the use of CHC’s solution‐based product offerings.
  • Develop relevant educational content (written and recorded) for partner resource library.
  • Accurately input data and maintain CRM software used to manage assigned accounts.
  • Assist with challenging partner requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Conduct training and orientation for nonprofit partners as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE WORK
  • Cultural sensitivity when working with community‐based organizations of all sizes.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time (including complex, multifaceted customer relationships), while maintaining sharp attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM software, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Teams, and Zoom desired.
  • Self‐starting, self‐sufficient and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work with a team and collaborate across departments.
  • Handles high‐volume, fast‐paced environment calmly and efficiently and provides proactive solutions to potential problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Community Services, Customer Service, Business, or related field desired.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer relationship management, client services, and/or sales.
  • CRM database experience required.
  • Previous nonprofit, workplace giving, and/or employee engagement campaign experience is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and interdepartmental collaboration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

TRAVEL

This position does not require travel.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job has the opportunity to operate completely remote and benefits from CHC’s 4-day workweek with Fridays off.
