Life Enrichment Coordinator

General Description and Purpose of Position:

The Life Enrichment Coordinator will work in the sub-acute transitional care unit of Episcopal Church Home. Our transitional care unit serves patients, most frequently seniors, who are recovering post-hospitalization before transitioning back to their prior living environment. Episcopal Homes is seeking a life enrichment coordinator to assist our patients on their wellness journey treating their mind and soul in conjunction with their acute medical needs. The ideal candidate will have an interest in alternative care categories such as physical fitness, relationship development, stress management, aroma and massage therapy, and other alternative care areas.

Pay and Schedule:

  • Full-Time, 40hrs/week
  • Starting from $19 -$22hr. Experience Compensated

Essential Functions:

  • Quick thinking, ability to change activities quickly if needs dictate.
  • Ability to assist with state-specific charting, such as assessments and progress notes.
  • Comfortable with leading a group both large and small.
  • Work collaboratively with Life Enhancement Director to support life enhancement across ECH.
  • Assist with the overall operation of the Life Enhancement Department. Charting, developing and implementing care plans, quarterly assessments in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Life Enrichment Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience working in senior living

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy or related health care field; current or eligible for certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or registered as an Occupational Therapist preferred.
