The Project Associate will be involved in new real estate developments throughout Northern California. The Project Associate position will primarily provide administrative and project management support to Project Managers in BRIDGE’s Northern California office (San Francisco).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with financial, legal, insurance, due diligence and construction related activities associated with the real estate development process, including real estate transactions, loan closings, funding applications, draw preparation and review process, entitlements, construction document coordination, and other activities
- Assist with preparation of feasibility analyses and real estate information research
- Assist in completing applications in response to Requests for Proposals/Qualifications
- Assist in contract preparation, invoice processing, and change order requests
- Facilitate communication and workflow between departments and team members
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, etc.
- Maintain efficient and organized filing systems
- Perform other duties as may be required to and appropriate to further BRIDGE’s mission
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Able to work with time sensitive material and meet multiple deadlines
- Effective prioritization and organizational skills
- Independent thinker who takes initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Northern California using a variety of transportation modes
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in affordable housing, community development,
- architecture, urban planning, finance, and/or real estate development
- Knowledge of local, state and federal housing financing programs
- Previous experience preparing graphic materials
Working Conditions
- Works in an office environment
- Works a standard workweek with occasional evenings
- Travels up to 15% of the time
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
