  • Software Engineer -IVAS

    Overview

    Responsibilities

    • Represent the company and maintain its performance levels within this position.
    • Through the agile development process manage the program’s continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) to streamline delivery of soldier capability to the field as well as address software and hardware obsolescence.
    • Provide the highest level of subject matter expertise and project management in the areas of Software Development, Software Engineering, Software Lifecycle Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Development, Verification and Validation, Installation.
    • Perform top level design, development, fabrication, testing, installation, troubleshooting.
    • Direct and manage large scale, complex software programs and provides functional expertise and management guidance to software team.
    • Set and maintain overall direction for software program and controls task scope, budget and schedule.
    • Communicate with senior level customer management and leadership on status of program
    • All other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications

    • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor.
    • Have knowledge of and or experienced in one or more of these fooling tools/programs JavaScript, SCSS/LESS, jQuery, VueJS, Golang, CSS, PostgreSQL, C#/ASP.NET MVC.
    • Must be able to code in Java, C++ and Linux OS.
    • Must have experience is developing test plans.
    • Able to describe and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • NETT Warrier program experience.
    • Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) program experience.

    Clearance:

    Must have a current DoD clearance.

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in computer science or similar or a STEM degree.
    • 4-9 years of software programming experience.
    • 4 additional years with direct relatable experience can be substituted

    Location:

    • Ft. Belvoir, Va.

    Travel:

    Only upon need.

    Physical Requirements:

    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

    This position requires the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

    Must be able to exchange accurate information in work situations.

    Must be able to travel by public transportation.
