Job Description: User Experience Designer 2
Quala is seeking an associate level User Experience Designer for a remote contract opportunity. You will be working within a Redmond, WA based company that is a leader in the software and consumer electronics industry.

About the role:
This role provides the opportunity to be a part of one of the fastest growing businesses in our client’s organization. You will be working with a high energy team where you will wear different hats and experience both personal and professional growth. As a designer you will have the unique opportunity to work with a product that has both hardware and software components.
The role will consist of 30% design heads down work, 30% meetings, and 30% collaborating with team members.

Job Responsibilities:
• Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications

Candidate Requirements
• 2-4 overall years of experience
• Bachelors degree in industrial design or interactional design/UX design is preferred
• Experience with ProtoPie, Adobe products, Figma, and UX design.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience of working with multidisciplinary and cross product teams, delivering beautiful end-to-end user experiences across multiple screens
• Minimum 2+ years’ Experience using design tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, After effects as examples)
• Minimum 2+ years Ability to lead products from scratch and improve features within a user-centered design process
