Position Overview:
We seek a Senior Manual Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive experience in testing medical devices, Bluetooth integration testing, leading teams, and working directly with clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the field, with a proven ability to conduct thorough manual testing in high-pressure environments.

This role requires an individual who is mature enough to handle difficult conversations, especially when discrepancies arise between requirements and application
features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a QA test team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Conduct thorough manual testing of software and medical devices, ensuring all products meet regulatory and client requirements
  • Manage and execute risk-based testing strategies to verify the intended use of the system, using a blend of manual tests and exploratory charters
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, especially when addressing discrepancies or delays
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools and contribute to continuously improving testing practices within the team

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in manual software testing, with experience testing Bluetooth integration between hardware and mobile applications.
  • Experience leading a QA team and working directly with clients.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
  • Proficiency in risk-based testing and prioritizing testing efforts based on key risk metrics.
  • Technical proficiency to sufficiently triage issues and work closely with developers, though development experience is not required
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and manage expectations
  • A curious mind with the ability to anticipate alternative use cases and think like an end-user
  • Candidates local to Indianapolis preferred
