Position Summary:

This role is designed for an experienced software tester with extensive knowledge in contemporary manual and automated testing methodologies. The successful candidate will deliver substantial working software to production and increasingly contribute to cross-team quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage multiple concurrent engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth product and customer knowledge:
    • Acquire expert product knowledge.
    • Understand customer product usage.
  • Design and implement testing protocols:
    • Create strategies for feature-level testing.
    • Contribute to application-level testing strategies.
    • Participate in designing comprehensive test suites.
    • Review and provide feedback on test strategies and designs from fellow Quality Engineers.
    • Lead feature testing initiatives.
    • Execute tests and document defects.
  • Automate testing processes:
    • Design and implement automated tests.
    • Contribute to the development of automated testing strategies.
    • Review code from other Quality Engineers.
    • Create, execute, and manage automated test results.
  • Conduct performance testing and analyze outcomes.
  • Enhance testing processes and methodologies.
  • Diagnose defects and verify resolutions.
  • Interpret application logs and telemetry to support debugging efforts.
  • Estimate effort required at the feature level.
  • Deploy and maintain testing environments.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Participate in resolving production incidents outside of regular hours.
  • Showcase project work and contributions to product quality.
  • Promote quality initiatives across the Engineering department.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in test automation and software testing.
  • Automation-first mindset.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools such as Cypress, Postman, K6.
  • Experience in a continuous integration/continuous delivery environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with a technology stack similar to that of Greenlight Guru.
  • Proficient in one or more modern programming languages.
