Healthy Living is searching for a hands-on, operational Controller experienced at directing the everyday functions of an accounting department. The Controller, reporting to the CFO, will be an integral part of the company’s financial well-being and next phase of growth. Responsibilities

  • Provide management and development of the finance and accounting team
  • Ensures timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
  • Develop operations improvement plans to deliver higher margins
  • Develop and monitor performance KPI’s
  • Forecasts short-term and long-term cash requirements and obligations
  • Oversees daily cash management/accounting activities and procedures
  • Manage external auditor and legal relationships
  • Manage the process for budgeting, analysis and interpretation of financial statements and preparations of financial reporting
  • Ensures appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Oversees all tax and regulatory/compliance issues
  • Coordinates all audit activity to include external audits and internal control reviews
  • Coordinates, implements and manages financial and administrative policies, procedures, and controls for continuous improvement of company’s business operations
  • Works in cooperation with the VP of Ops, General Managers, Culinary Director to enable department managers and buyers to meet their profit targets

Requirements:

Degree:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration


Experience:

  • At least 5 years of previous financial control and management experience, preferably in a large food retail environment
  • Previous experience with Accounting System software
  • Previous experience with balance sheets and general ledger entry
