Job Summary
We are looking for a Diesel Parts Rep to join the team at our busy truck parts shop. If you are a mechanically-inclined automotive professional with strong management and communication skills, we want to hear from you.

As a Parts Representative, you will grow our customer base by identifying potential customers, keeping in touch with existing customers, and making sure that everyone has a positive purchasing experience.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate prices with existing and new vendors
  • Search for new vendors
  • Place special parts orders for customers that are getting their truck service.
  • Communicate with customers, regarding parts statuses, and general parts information.
  • Communicate with the Service Team to ensure truck deadlines are met.
  • Explain products and services to customers
  • Monitor inventory
  • Maintain inventory well stock
  • Forecast
  • Enter and process orders with vendors
  • Keep track of low-stock inventory
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to parts
  • Basic truck knowledge

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelors degree is preferred
  • Prior sales experience in a truck shop or showroom setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage time and serve customers with little supervision
