Job Summary
We are looking for a Diesel Parts Rep to join the team at our busy truck parts shop. If you are a mechanically-inclined automotive professional with strong management and communication skills, we want to hear from you.
As a Parts Representative, you will grow our customer base by identifying potential customers, keeping in touch with existing customers, and making sure that everyone has a positive purchasing experience.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate prices with existing and new vendors
- Search for new vendors
- Place special parts orders for customers that are getting their truck service.
- Communicate with customers, regarding parts statuses, and general parts information.
- Communicate with the Service Team to ensure truck deadlines are met.
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory
- Maintain inventory well stock
- Forecast
- Enter and process orders with vendors
- Keep track of low-stock inventory
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to parts
- Basic truck knowledge
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelors degree is preferred
- Prior sales experience in a truck shop or showroom setting is preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage time and serve customers with little supervision
