Role Overview:
A global telecom leader looking for a Corporate Controller for their flagship entity in the USA. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing all global accounting functions. This position will lead a multinational accounting team, manage the treasury group, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and global compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex accounting, software revenue recognition, intangible capitalization, transfer pricing rules relating to group company transactions, and financial process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:Global Accounting Leadership:
Lead and manage a diverse accounting team located in the US and India.
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking and payroll.
Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.Treasury Management:
Lead the treasury group, managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt, and cash management.
Develop and implement cash forecasting processes.
Optimize working capital management and develop strategies to improve cash flow.Consolidation and Reporting:
Manage the consolidation of financial statements.
Create and streamline financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely communication to management.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.Complex Accounting and Compliance:
Handle complex accounting tasks including multi-element software revenue recognition, software development capitalization, and complex tax arrangements.
Develop strong working relationships with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance and smooth audit processes.
Work closely with tax and legal advisors on company structure and compliance issues.
Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA and CPA certification required.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Extensive experience with multinational accounting, treasury management, and financial consolidation.
Proven experience in revenue recognition and tax arrangements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
