The position is troubleshooting, fixing, and completing preventative maintenance on all machines in a large manufacturing facility.

POSITION – Maintenance Technician.

JOB LOCATION – Manitowoc, WI, and surrounding community.

STARTING DATE – Immediate.

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Direct-hire.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-time.

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

STARTING PAY – $21-$33/hr. (Based on experience.) Excellent benefits

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous experience working as a maintenance technician.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for prioritizing preventative maintenance duties.

Respond immediately to issues that may arise with any equipment necessary for weekly production.

Responsible for keeping good records on machine PM’s and other repairs.

Responsible for monitoring water system, sprinkler system, silo system, and the plant backup generator, air compressors, grinders, etc.

Responsible for ordering maintenance parts, and repair parts when needed and will work with purchasing person for purchase orders.

General facility maintenance such as lights, doors, garage doors, etc., will be the responsibility of the maintenance department as well.

Must be mechanically inclined and have working knowledge of mechanical, electronic and electrical repair. Fabrication experience would be helpful.

Must have a variety of knowledge and problem-solving skills to handle a diverse set of situations.

Experience and Qualifications:

Basic working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and electrical repair, welding experience helpful.

Must be a self-starter, able to work without direct supervision, and have good time management skills.

General computer knowledge.

Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Previous maintenance background or comparable education.
