We are seeking a leader who can build our customer success team by ensuring that our staff are given clear goals and have the necessary tools and training. The Director of Sales & Marketing is extremely skillful in negotiating, managing customer relationships, driving retail activation and education while driving the overall go to market strategy. Through creative problem solving, skillful communication and well-organized planning you will successfully manage driving the vision, purpose and results for their team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for all sales and marketing activities, including leadership and development of the sales and marketing team members.
  2. Develops short and long-term business development strategy for assigned area of responsibility, with key focus on development of new target accounts, markets, products and services.
  3. Develops annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives; sets sales quotas and goals.
  4. Manages multiple channel selling strategies for the US marketplace.
  5. Oversees local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns.
  6. Prepares sales budgets and projections and approves staff expenditures
  7. Tracks and analyzes sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
  8. Plans and directs the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.
  9. Responsible for planning, organizing, training, staffing, and managing all sales and marketing functions to help achieve the company’s objectives related to sales, growth and profitability
  10. Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
  11. Manage all aspects of the company's marketing efforts, including day to day direction of the Marketing Manager, Graphic Artists, Social Media Specialist and Graphic Production Artist.
  12. Manage and develop the expense budgets of both the Sales and Marketing Departments, working in collaboration with corporate finance and senior management.

  • Partner with directors in other fields to come up with better strategies.
  • Create and maintain accurate records and sales reports.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in wholesale distribution.
  • Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong budget management and sales forecasting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP and CRM software and experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
  • Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy.
  • Ability to train and mentor employees.
  • Strong documented business acumen and expertise, not just sales knowledge.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead others and get results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to think quickly.
