We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust software solutions that meet the organization's strategic goals. Your expertise in both Back End and Front End design, combined with your knowledge of Disciplined Agile and Systems Engineering methodologies, will be instrumental in shaping the architecture and guiding the development of complex software systems. In addition to architectural responsibilities, you will also be responsible for actively coding and contributing to the development process.


Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software architectures.
  2. Design and develop software solutions that adhere to best practices and industry standards for both Back End and Front End components.
  3. Actively code and contribute to the development process, working closely with the development team to implement architectural designs and solutions.
  4. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that architectural principles and design patterns are followed.
  5. Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.
  6. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into architectural decisions.
  7. Apply Systems Engineering methodologies, such as DoDAF, to model and document system architectures, interfaces, and interactions.
  8. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide technical input and support in project planning and estimation.


Essential Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in designing and architecting complex software systems.
  3. Proven expertise in both Back End and Front End design, including proficiency in relevant languages and technologies.
  4. In-depth understanding of Disciplined Agile principles and practices, with hands-on experience in applying Agile methodologies in software development projects.
  5. Strong coding skills and ability to actively contribute to the development process.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Familiarity with Systems Engineering methodologies, frameworks, and standards, such as DoDAF, and the ability to apply them to software architecture.
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of leading and mentoring software development teams.
