Be an Innovation Architect: R&D Manager for Precision Measurement at VPG

Here's what you'll do:

  • Architect the future of the Gleeble: You'll be responsible for the software and embedded systems design of our DSI equipment, with a specific focus on pushing the boundaries of the Gleeble's capabilities and functionality.
  • Lead the Innovation Charge: Identify new business opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth for DSI.
  • Become a Technical Guru: Provide expert direction for junior engineers and the production team, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Bridge the Gap: Liaise between customers, production, and service engineering departments, managing ECOS and tickets based on their feedback.
  • Champion Safety: Be an active participant in fostering a strong safety culture within the plant.

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5-8 years of relevant hands-on experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, communication standards, and embedded systems design
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to a strong safety culture

  • Salary range: $125K-$150K annually, with potential for growth

The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual’s unique set of knowledge, skills, education, experience and geographic location, as well as internal equity.
