Position Summary:

The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for performing and/or overseeing the maintenance at a customer's facilities. This includes conducting hands-on repairs, working with company maintenance technicians, and, coordinating with vendors and contractors. The ideal candidate will possess strong maintenance skills, a comprehensive understanding of facility management best practices, and the ability to manage complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facility Operations:
    • Oversee an organization’s facilities, ensuring all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are functioning optimally.
    • Implement SOP maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure longevity and reliability of facility systems and equipment.
  2. Technical Maintenance:
    • Engage in technical repairs to plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.  
  3. Vendor and Contractor Management:
    • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repair, and renovation projects.
    • Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with terms, and oversee the quality of work performed by external parties.
  4. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations and safety.
    • Implement safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address any potential hazards promptly.
  5. Project Management:
    • Lead facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and relocations.
    • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely and successful project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility management; experience in a leadership role a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of facility systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Management certifications is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergency situations or oversee projects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to facility maintenance.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week (flexible)
  • Typically hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend and weeknight responsibilities
