SCOPE
The Pallidus accounting and finance team plays a critical role in all aspects of the company’s operations and strategic planning. The Accounting Analyst will contribute to a wide range of financial, operational and strategic initiatives in support of the company’s operations and growth.

The role will be focused primarily on traditional accounting activities but will include other responsibilities and projects consistent with the needs of a dynamic, rapidly growing technology business. The role will report to the CFO.

This position is on-site in our Albany, NY manufacturing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all daily and month-end accounting activities including payables, receivables, payroll, costing, fixed assets and cash.
  • Prepare internal and external operational and financial reporting on department expenses, production costs and variances, inventory valuation and other areas.
  • Ensure accurate costing of manufacturing processes and products within Oracle ERP, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost roll-ups as Internal partner with business area functional leadership to control and support departmental and Company objectives.
  • Build out, implement and document accounting processes and financial controls as the Company continues to expand.
  • Support annual financial audit with external auditors, and conduct periodic internal audits of manufacturing transactions and processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support other finance activities as needed, including short- and long-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting as well as investment and funding due diligence by third-party advisors and current and potential investors and lenders.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience as an accountant, accounting analyst, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using an ERP and Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Oracle experience a plus.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets and perform monthly closing activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to synthesize, interpret and present financial and operational data.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with and produce high-quality work product for a diverse range of internal and external constituencies, from internal business partners and executives to Board members, investors and external service providers.
  • Proactive, self-directed, flexible and adaptable with a high level of integrity and commitment, strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be a US Citizen or be a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. to meet Export Control requirements.
