Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

Enterprise Learning is responsible for building new capabilities critical to our firm's strategy at speed and scale, ensuring our 50,000 home-office associates and branch team members are reskilled and upskilled to deliver industry-leading Human-Centered Complete Wealth Management.

The Learning Experience Designer II is responsible for the delivery, design, development, and curation of multi-modal high-performance learning experiences that build learner capabilities, drive behavior change, and result in the achievement of business and performance outcomes. In this role, you will enable a culture of continuous learning through human-centered learning and performance design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively facilitate the delivery of learning experiences, including in-person and virtual development sessions, workshops, and discussion boards and informal learning opportunities
  • Partner with Learning and Development colleagues, end-users, stakeholders, and leaders to deliver. design, develop, curate and impactful, fit-to-purpose learning and development experiences that achieve business outcomes while building learners' intrinsic motivation to continuously learn and improve.
  • Anticipate and recommend opportunities to optimize learning experiences with a particular emphasis on skill practice and application using a variety of tools and techniques, including scenario-based learning design, intensive case studies, and academies
  • Build learner capabilities and drive behavioral change using a learner-centered facilitation that involves tailoring instructional methods and content delivery to accommodate diverse learning styles and participant backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate on the development of learning measurement plans; leveraging the resulting learning insights and measurement reports to monitor, maintain, and optimize learning experiences
  • Serve as a member of dynamic, autonomous, matrixed teams responsible for the end-to-end implementation of projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple, competing priorities
  • Confidently lead and facilitate design, development, validation, and user experience research sessions to create the conditions for iterative learner-centered design, resulting in first-time quality at scale
  • Stay current on research and practices in Learning & Development, experimenting with new applications and processes to optimize learning experiences
  • Must have availability to facilitate as early as 6:30am or as late as 6:30p local time (depending on time zone.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $81750
Hiring Maximum: $139194

Skills/Requirements

  • Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work within the office three days per week, with the preference for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Advanced facilitation skills, including the ability to present to executive leaders; the ability to adapt learning experiences to situational needs; and the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences with a variety of backgrounds
  • SIE, Series 7 and 66 financial industry licenses required within 12 months, paid for by Edward Jones and employee will be paid salary while they pursue this licensing
  • Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of proven experience training, facilitating, delivering, and designing adult learning experiences that achieve business objectives
  • 1+ years of proven experience developing adaptive and/or interactive multi-modal learning and performance solutions
  • Knowledge of Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Modern Learning Experience Tools, and Methodologies
  • Proven experience successfully delivering practice and application-based learning and performance experiences using techniques such as role plays, practice scenarios, case studies, and academies
  • Proven experience using Design Thinking and User Experience Research Principles and Methodologies to develop learning and performance experiences
  • Proficient understanding of the Finance Services Industry
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to moderate virtual communication channels
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of colleagues, employing diplomacy to achieve outcomes
  • Applied understanding of Systems Thinking, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem-Solving Methodologies to recommend learning solutions
