Lewiston, United States Clinical Management Consultants Full time
Job Description

A new and exciting position has opened for a Surgical Services Nurse Educator at a patient centered community hospital in northern Idaho. This is the perfect opportunity to join a respected hospital and help influence a department that changes lives every day.

The new Surgical Services Nurse Educator will join a community medical center that serves a diverse population and is known for its commitment to high-quality patient care and community health. The hospital has received recognition for its excellence in patient safety and quality, earning awards such as the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award.

Perioperative nurses and surgical technicians are a few of the several staff members who would turn to the Surgical Services Nurse Educator for guidance and educational support. The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will work alongside the Manager of Education and Professional Development and the Director of Perioperative Services to coordinate and influence the direction of the Surgical Services department ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

If the prospect of inspiring the education and training of staff in the surgical department appeals to you, then this will be a great opportunity to grow. The Educator will work closely with the Nursing Leadership team to develop and deploy the education program, and will work to improve the program through feedback and partnership with the Surgeons and Professional Development teams.

The Surgical Services Nurse Educator oversees the development of educational programs focused on enhancing clinical competencies and skills, mentors perioperative staff, and drives clinical quality improvement initiatives. On the administrative side, they manage budgeting for educational programs, coordinate staffing needs, oversee operations related to education, and maintain positive relations with physicians involved in perioperative care.

Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Northern Idaho, the Surgical Services Nurse Educator will be  charmed by the blend of vibrant culture and small-town warmth. The city is home to the University of Idaho, lending a youthful energy to its historic streets lined with unique shops, cozy cafes, and inviting parks. Surrounded by lush forests and scenic mountains the area offers a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts, with ample opportunities for hiking, skiing, and exploring the natural beauty of the region.

Compensation for this role includes generous benefits with a competitive salary. This will be an opportunity for a Surgical Services Nurse Educator to join a hospital committed to the welfare and advancement of the community it serves.
