Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Lewiston Idaho in search of a highly talented Surgical Technologist (CST).

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our clients dynamic Operating Room team. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures preparing operating rooms and ensuring a safe sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have 23 years of acute care hospitalbased operating room experience with expertise in Ortho Neuro General Surgery Spine & Robotics.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Function as a member of the sterile team
  • Assist in readying rooms opening supplies and performing surgical scrub
  • Set up back table and prepare anticipated instruments equipment and supplies
  • Assist with draping and establishing sterile field
  • Anticipate needs and pass instruments sutures etc. according to need
  • Ensure safe sterile environment through use of scrupulous aseptic technique
  • Perform needle and sponge counts with circulating nurse
  • Share oncall rotation with other staff members
Qualifications:

I. Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

II. Experience:

  • Minimum of 23 years acute care hospitalbased operating room experience
  • At least 23 years of experience in Ortho Neuro General Surgery Spine & Robotics
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures related to surgery

III. License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred at hire required within 6 months
  • Current BLS certification
  • Additional certifications in specialized surgical areas are a plus
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficiency in sterile and aseptic techniques
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments equipment and procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the role
  • Adaptability to work with various surgical teams and specialties
