This position is part of the Process Engineering department and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. In Process Engineering, we leverage production data to create and monitor metrics that help guide decisions for process improvement and equipment reliability.  We support quality investigations on equipment and materials through 24/7 line support and escalate production quality issues to the appropriate stakeholders.  We also partner with manufacturing to maintain proper process documentation to ensure compliance. M-F 8-5pm

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for performing process and mold qualifications for new and existing production lines and tools.
  • Develop validation documentation for process qualifications and is the manufacturing liaison for all process qualifications.
  • Update and create manufacturing work instructions, facilitate changes and manage implementation of changes to manufacturing documentation
  • Partner effectively during root cause investigation through resolution with functional representatives of regulatory, automation, molding/tooling, and production
  • Work within operating procedures to identify, change, justify, and implement process improvements to process capability, equipment availability, and yield

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
  • A Minimum of 2-5 years overall related business experience in Manufacturing preferably in medical device
  • 1 Year Experience with failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • 1 Year Experience with manual or automation lines and developing process documentation

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/related discipline
  • Experience with Project Management
