Schwob Steel Services is seeking multiple hires for Rough Terrain Crane Operator in in the Metal/Steel Building Construction industry

Compensation: $35/hr - $40/hr based on experience plus overtime. If not in the area get a $750 weekly per diem. Bonus eligible.

Location: Newport News, VA

Hours: Monday to Friday (may change based on weather). May require some Saturdays. Approx. 7 AM to 5:30 PM or later, with overtime pay.

Job Type: Long-term project up to 2 years at the same job site. Full-time W-2 position with benefits. Non-exempt.

Rough Terrain Crane Operator Overview:

As a Rough Terrain Crane Operator, you will be the backbone of our construction projects, operating hydraulic cranes of up to 90 tons with precision and expertise. Your role is crucial in safely lifting and placing heavy steel structures, ensuring the success and safety of our projects. Assembler / Craft Worker Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years operating hydraulic rough terrain cranes up to 90 tons
  • Must have NCCCO Mobile Crane Operation Certification
  • Physical requirements include the ability to climb to access the crane and handle long hours of strenuous work during hot and cold weather
