Grant Accountant

  • The Grant Accountant is a key player on the accounting team and will work collaboratively to provide accurate and timely financial information to support the important work performed throughout the organization.

Overview of the Grant Accountant role:

  • Manage all aspects of government and private grants, including tracking, expenses, invoicing, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with grant regulations and restrictions.
  • Review and process reimbursement requests from sub-recipients, and manage tracking and ad-hoc issues.
  • Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual billing invoices to grantors.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end accounting processes, reconciliations, and analyses to produce reports for staff and board members.
  • Assist in preparing grant-related schedules for the annual financial audit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Able to work effectively under a consistently changing environment
  • Attention to detail and deadline driven
  • Understanding and experience with non-profit and grant accounting
