Provide senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases; integrate third party products; translate technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients; write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports; employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation; elevate code into development, test, and production environments on schedule; provide follow up production support; submit change control requests and documents; utilize thorough understanding of software development methodology and architecture standards; train and mentor staff with less experience; resolve elevated issues; participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues; explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients; perform systems analysis activities; utilize thorough understanding of client business functions and technology needs and broad understanding of technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business area and systems; interface with cross functional team members and communicate systems issues at appropriate technical level for each audience; utilize thorough understanding and compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verify that deliverables meet requirements. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
Requirements:
Requires Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, or closely related field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including Data Science Engineer and/or Software Developer and/or Programming Intern; or Bachelor’s and five years of experience. Background in education, training or experience must include Data Engineering/Data Science including analyzing and organizing raw data; experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines, architecting robust AWS solutions to meet business outcomes; experience with cloud databases; must be able to transform raw data to meet business needs, develop analytical tools; experience with analytical platforms including Athena, leveraging different AWS tools including Glue, ECS, EMR, S3, Redshift, Kinesis Firehose, SageMaker, building and utilizing machine learning models; experience using business intelligence tools including Tableau, utilizing raw and preprocessed data for model training; experience utilizing pre-existing deep learning/machine learning models; experience with Python; strong AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, Glue, S3); Data Analytics Specialty certification (AWS).
