Claims Service Representative III - Mobile

The Automobile Club is seeking Casualty Prompt Response Claims Representative handing bodily injury claims, you’re bringing your expertise to a best-in-class organization that is focused on delivering quality service to our members.

Under the general supervision of Claims Management, your responsibilities will include:

  • Primarily communicates and interacts with members, claimants and witnesses to investigate, evaluate and negotiate injury claims.
  • Explain benefits, coverages, fault and claims process either verbally or in writing in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Proactive handling of coverage investigation, negligence investigation, evaluation, claim analysis, negotiation and resolution of injury claims.
  • Identify and obtain statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses.
  • Evaluate and determine claim values for Casualty claims.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
  • May conduct field investigations to determine negligence and damages as appropriate. 
  • This position does not include a company vehicle or company cell phone.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years of Casualty claims experience preferred.
  • Employs discretion and independent judgment to ensure proper handling of claims.
  • General knowledge of negligence and subrogation principles required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-related software preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and planning recognition skill required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a level of financial responsibility required by the club and an acceptable motor vehicle record required for field positions.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$34.14 - $45.52

Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
