We are seeking a skilled Claims Service Representative I to join our team at the Automobile Club of Southern California. As a Claims Service Representative I, you will be responsible for handling homeowner claims in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate low to moderate complexity claims in compliance with established company technical and customer service best practices.
- Communicate with insureds and claimants, explaining benefits, coverages, fault, and claims process.
- Conduct phone investigations to determine liability and damages, and participate in legal proceedings as needed.
- 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 5+ years prior homeowner claims handling experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in construction estimating using Xactimate.
- Strong communication skills, including strong interpersonal communications.
- A valid driver's license with safe driving records required.
- Proficiency in general computer skills.
- Competitive hourly rate of $25.48 - $28.03 per hour.
- Eligibility to participate in our incentive program based on team and individual performance after completion of the first year in the role.
