SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary role of the National Purchasing Analyst is to be responsible for monitoring market trends and to assist with system applications and set up. This position requires strong Excel and database management skills with an aptitude for learning and keen attention for detail. This position will help to build and distribute data to divisions when needed and on an ongoing basis. This position will report directly to the National Vice President of Purchasing and some travel will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must have broad understanding of home building, estimating, purchasing contracts, product implementation, ERP systems, and data analytics.
  • Skilled user in MS Excel, New Star, BuildPro/SupplyPro a plus.
  • Assist National and Local Purchasing Managers excel spreadsheet analytics and data input into New Star/Other systems as needed.
  • Assist with billing and collections for incentives, rebates, and model homes.
  • Analyze pricing and bids for vertical construction costs.
  • Help to implement and track cost saving initiatives.
  • Complete analysis of national manufacturer proposals.
  • Load and review vertical cost data.
  • Create and analyze option and pricing strategy.
  • Assist with product implementation.
  • Audit costs and options.
  • Complete estimates for various trade categories.
  • Identify new manufacturers/suppliers/distributors/subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with divisional teams to implement new product, design, and lower costs.
  • Assist with RFP process for national manufacturers.


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management or another related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Must have a broad understanding of home building, estimation, purchasing contracts, product implementation, ERP systems and data
    analytics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, word, New Star, BuildPro/SupplyPro a plus
