Field Sales Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a Field Sales Technician that will be responsible for driving sales growth by providing technical support and expertise to customers in the field. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting Mersen’s product solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and customer satisfaction. The Field Sales Technician will act as a key liaison between the company and its clients, offering both technical guidance and sales support.

Field Sales Technician Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their technical needs and challenges to provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer on-site technical support and product demonstrations to clients. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Mersen’s products and solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads. Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotations, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Mersen’s product portfolio and industry trends. Stay updated on new technologies and solutions to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring that they meet customer specifications and performance standards. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and support.
  • Track sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends. Provide regular reports to the Sales Manager or Regional Sales Director, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers on Mersen’s products and solutions. Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance product offerings.

Field Sales Technician Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the electrical or industrial sectors. Experience with field sales and technical support is highly desirable.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet with clients and attend industry events.
