Industrial Engineer I

- Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
- Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
- Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
- Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
- Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearanceQualifications We Prefer:
- Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering
- Experience/Education Lean Manufacturing, Simulation Modeling, Constraint Analysis
- Experience/Education with factory design and workcell optimization
- Experience/Education with project management
- Experience/Education with discrete event simulation
- Experience/education with CAD software
- Six Sigma Certification
