The Role

The Workplace Investing AI (Artificial Intelligence) Delivery Engineering Chapter team is seeking a Senior Machine Learning / MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) Engineer to design, implement and improve technical solutions for AI model deployment, data pipelines, hosting and API (Application Programming Interface) access tiers in support of the Intelligent Automation AI Product Area. We are looking for an outspoken technologist with a deep passion for data and application design to help build AWS (Amazon Web Services) based AI solutions to help extract data from both databases and unstructured data sources and harness AI algorithms to help automate difficult business problems facing our Workplace operations team. This role will be a great mix of peer mentorship, application, API and data pipeline design, and lots of hands-on work along with partnering with our data scientists and business.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • 5+ years experience as a Machine Learning engineer building feature engineering pipelines, deploying AI models, and optimizing model inference.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
  • Solid experience with developing python-based APIs needed (FastAPI / Flask).
  • Experience working with security, data, and AI pipeline technologies (RDS/Postgres, Snowflake, Airflow) and infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Python, Ansible, CFT).
  • Design and develop machine learning and deep learning systems using ML (Machine Learning) algorithms / frameworks.
  • Demonstrated work experience using AWS services: Deploy the models in Sagemaker, cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or RDS for analytics data hosting. EC2/EKS compute set-up.
  • Experience with working on Gen AI solutions with Large Language Models, LangChain, Llama Index, Prompt Engineering and Fine tuning would be a plus
  • Superior SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis on multiple database platforms.
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience.

The team is an agile squad in the Intelligent Automation AI Product Area in Workplace Services. The squad intends to use cloud technologies and deploy solutions using all current software engineering principles.
