BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated UX Designer for an opportunity in Redmond, WA

Position Title: UX Designer

Location: Fully Remote

Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration:12+ Months Contract

Job Type: Contract and Remote

Pay Range: $35/hr. - $40/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

Candidate Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 2-4 years of overall experience

  • Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

  • Disqualifiers: Resumes that showcase overqualified candidates are not eligible for the role. N/A

  • Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate will have different experiences with branding design and UI UX developer.

  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on feedback from the team and meeting deadlines.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience with UI UX developer.

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience working with a functional development team.

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience using design software tools.

Writing functionality design specifications. Design and implement prototypes, mockups, task analysis, usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams. Generates design ideas; presents and sells designs to product group. Understands customer needs and motivations and integrates them into product design to contribute to user features and functionality. Acts as consultant to other team leads and may manage external production and design resources.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Skills:

  • 2 plus years' work related experience required.
  • Experience in native platform software design
  • Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required.
  • Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas are required.
  • Advanced experience in creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS). Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) required.
  • Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (i.e. Flash) may be required.
  • Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites.
  • Experience working with rich client or web applications preferred.
  • Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality.
  • Must be familiar with industry standards and trends.
  • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
  • Must have ability to own and drive projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
