Data Center Experience Required
Job Description:
- Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; assists visitors with legitimate needs to gain entry efficiently.
- Provides a courteous, respectful, and pleasant interaction with all client employees and visitors, ensuring a positive image of the client and its security department.
- Communicates openly, honestly, and responsively in all situations, offering information about the site and surrounding area as authorized.
- Monitors entrances and exits, preventing unauthorized entry; operates gate and examines vehicle contents; monitors remote entrances via CCTV.
- Patrols assigned site on foot or in a vehicle, identifying unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons.
- Protects evidence or incident scenes during emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and provides directions to others.
- Prepares accurate logs and reports using standard grammar and computer entry; inspects security control logs and takes necessary actions.
- Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activities to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities.
- Responds promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, bomb threats, and hazardous materials, following established procedures.
- Ensures compliance with property removal policies and identifies client products or materials among items carried by employees or visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary for the site's security operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training is a plus.
