The Department of Pediatrics at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida, located in Medical City, at Lake Nona, in Orlando, seeks an innovative and highly collaborative leader to serve as Division Chief of Critical Care Medicine.

The Division of Critical Care Medicine is a clinically and academically active division consisting of 10 pediatric critical care physicians and six APRNs who provide clinical care in the 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and also oversee the Transport Team, Respiratory Care, and Sedation Services. Division members are also actively engaged in clinical, quality, and bench research. They have key roles in residency education and are leaders in the residency program, in simulation, and in regional education.

We are seeking a candidate who is a nationally recognized academic leader with a track record of providing excellent clinical care personally, as well as leadership and administrative experience with clinical programs, education, academic scholarship, and team building. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, manage, mentor, and develop faculty and staff. An ability to work collaboratively with health professionals from multiple other specialties and disciplines, as well as with hospital administrative leaders, will be key to success in this role.

Qualified Candidate:

  • Has a M.D., D.O., MD-PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Has several years of clinical and leadership experience.
  • Is board-certified in Critical Care Medicine.
  • Is eligible for Associate Professor of Pediatrics or a higher academic rank at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
