Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Business Expansion to lead the company’s store expansion strategy and operations across the United States. As a key member of the executive team, the Director will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing prime locations to support the growth of our direct-operated store network. This role requires a proven track record in new store development, landlord relations, and chain operations.

Responsibilities

? Develop and execute an expansion strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and market expansion plans.

? Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords nationwide to secure favorable lease terms and conditions.

? Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential locations that meet brand standards and financial requirements.

? Negotiate lease agreements and renewals to secure the best terms for the company.

? Oversee due diligence for new locations, including financial analysis, demographic studies, and competitive assessments.

? Manage the expansion budget, ensuring all activities are within approved financial parameters.

? Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure new locations align with brand standards and operational requirements.

? Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.

? Lead a team of business expansion professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and growth.

? Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, construction, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.

? Represent the company in all business expansion-related matters, including industry events, conferences, and community engagements.

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

? Minimum of 8 years of experience in business expansion and development, especially in retail or restaurant industries.

? Proven success in landlord relations and lease negotiations across the U.S.

? Extensive experience in chain operations, ideally in a director-level role.

? Strong understanding of market trends and lease agreements.

? Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

? Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate terms with landlords and other stakeholders.

? Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset, committed to continuous improvement.

? Experience in budget management and financial analysis, with data-driven decision-making skills.

? Bilingual English and Mandarin is preferred.
