Description
- Understand the consumer and translate this knowledge to uncover insights that lead to new offerings and communication.
- Analyze the potential of new products and make recommendations based not only on consumer feedback but also on sales and profit.
- Drive and manage all aspects of innovation from idea to launch, including insight development and testing, business case modeling, communication & POS assets, and sell-in through each stage gate.
- Maintain a holistic and detailed understanding of the portfolio in the context of the company, customer, and competition, and make strategic recommendations for expansion or rationalization.
- Act as a brand interface with the Research & Innovation team.
- Develop and present activities and strategies to senior management, as well as brief and manage agencies and external partners on a day-to-day basis.
- Work closely with Sales and Media to uncover marketing innovation ideas beyond new products (e.g. packaging, promotions, new media, etc.).
- Manage budgets with an eye for driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Become the brand expert through ongoing analysis, consumer insights, and knowledge of category dynamics and competition.
Profile
- Classical marketing training plus entrepreneurial type experience preferred.
- Proven success in white space identification, concept/product validation, formula/packaging design and development, and commercialization.
- Experience in the development of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience in growth categories with significant new product launches.
- Results-driven, analytical, and collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, keen on driving growth in the US market and continuous probing of "why?"
- Ability to navigate complexity, work collaboratively, and adapt to the fast-paced, diverse US business landscape, including coordination with global teams.
- Proven ability to lead by influence.
- Proven track record of managing cross functional projects/project teams
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of marketing experience in a CPG company, with a strong focus on innovation. Background in Personal Care, is beneficial but not necessary
