Minimum Qualifications

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Employees participate, following established guidelines, in one or more human resources functional areas such as: benefits administration, career planning, classification, compensation, employee retention and organizational culture enhancement, employee relations, employment, environment, safety and health, equal employment opportunity, HR Information Systems, international employment, legal compliance, payroll, policy administration, organizational design, staff development, talent management, workforce planning and/or closely related programs.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced work environment

  • Verify and validate information within units in order to facilitate an efficient employment workflow process
  • Maintain knowledge of HR operations, processes and procedures

  • Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to project a positive and professional image
Duties/Responsibilities Operations
  • Interacting with HR Systems — Using computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
  • Performing Administrative Activities — Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing transactions.
  • Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Communications & Outreach
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
Special Projects
  • Serves as a team member on projects with responsibility for developing solutions and/or meeting specified objectives related to human resource issues or programs.
  • Performs other duties as required.
