Job Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate and participate in the development of a clinical development and training model.
  2. Obtain or participate in developing effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  3. Plan, organize, facilitate, and order supplies for employee development and training events.
  4. Plan, organize, and facilitate employee resources for workforce development and training team.
  5. Develop and maintain organizational communications.
  6. Modify programs as needed.
  7. Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  8. Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
  9. Participate in instituting needs assessments as needed for various employee groups in a timely, thorough, and efficient manner.
  10. Collaborate with subject matter experts (internal or external) in delivering appropriate, timely, and quality clinical educational opportunities related to orientation and ongoing education.
  11. Propose training and development programs and objectives.
  12. Approve personnel actions such as new hire requests, coaching, counseling, performance appraisals, and discharges to ensure proper staffing.
  13. Set priorities for planning activities for the assigned team.
  14. Allocate workforce development and training resources in developing and maintaining curriculum guidelines and educational opportunities for Vitas.
  15. Participate in oversight of the coordination and functionality of the learning management system.
  16. Able to travel.

  18. Participate in the evaluation of the impact of educational programs.
  19. Evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement as needed.
  20. Monitor the internal/external environment and identify opportunities to fulfill the corporate strategy.
  21. Develop, monitor, update, and communicate ongoing strategic plan and goals for People Development.
  22. Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget.
  23. Serve as a strategic liaison for key organizational initiatives between business units and their customers, both internal and external.
Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years’ experience supervising or managing people/resources.
  2. Learning Management System experience strongly preferred.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  4. Comfortable with the use of media equipment.
Education
  1. Associate’s degree in Organization Development, Training, Human Resources, Business, and/or a related area of study required.
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
