An ideal candidate will have knowledge of school insurance or health insurance experience.

*School Insurance Collector Job Description*

*General Summary: *Process new insurance policies, modifications to existing policies, and claims forms. Obtain information from policyholders to verify the accuracy and completeness of information on claims forms, applications and related documents, and company records. Update existing policies and company records to reflect changes requested by policyholders and insurance company representatives.

*Responsibilities:*
* Reviewing past due accounts and related documentation.
* Contacting patients, guarantors, and or third-party payers to secure payments and provide resolution of assigned accounts.
* Appealing incorrect denials and incorrect payments.
* Responding to carrier verification requests in a timely manner.
* Tracking and reporting all account information.
* Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulation.

*Skills Required: *
* Problem Solving Skills: You have a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
* Organizational skills: You have exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills that will aid in account follow-up.

*Required experience and Qualifications:*
* High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
* Minimum of one year healthcare or insurance office experience required.
* Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures required.
* Excellent oral, written, computer and customer service skills.

*Workers Compensation Collector Job Description*

_*Candidate responsibilities include:*_
