As a working Terminal Manager, you will lead a complex ramp operation with a focus on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance, productivity and working hands in all aspects of the railyard. Additionally, you will provide strong leadership for employees, systems, and safety practices. A successful Ramp Manager possesses critical thinking, deadline driven, analytical, and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

In this role you will oversee the Auto Terminal in Saint Paul, MN.

Responsibilities:

Terminal Manager - Auto

  • Leads Ramp to ensure KPIs are met; (list KPIs)
  • Accountable for overall P&L responsibilities
  • Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Ramp
  • Builds collaborative partnerships between ITSC and local railroad officers
  • Acts as key point of contact between ITSC and our customers
  • Enforces and upholds all ITSC rules, regulations and policies
  • Approaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when required
  • Monitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budget
  • Approves weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate and timely
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Ramp is fully staffed
  • Owns the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing success
  • Provides Ramp Metrics & Reports as needed
  • Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years Intermodal, transportation, logistics or supply chain management experience
  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills are mandatory
  • Proficient in outlook and MS office suite of products
  • Possess strong work ethic
  • Open availability required (shifts, weekends, & holiday)
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
