We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rail Terminal Operations Coordinator to join our team at Pacific Rail Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the terminal's train planning activities to ensure seamless service levels and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and Coordinate Train Planning Activities: Ensure accurate and efficient planning of intermodal trains to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Terminal Manager: Maintain daily contact with the terminal manager to discuss productivity improvements, cost controls, and other operational matters.
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with Union Pacific Railroad Manager of Intermodal Train Planning and other key stakeholders to stay informed about intermodal conditions and secure information on inbound train arrivals.
- Monitor Rail Yard Operations: Maintain awareness of rail yard conditions, including ground surface issues, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the terminal's operations.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
- Background Check and Drug Test: Pass a 7-year background check and a drug test to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- No GED or High School Diploma Required: We welcome applicants without a GED or high school diploma, as we provide on-the-job training to ensure success in the role.
