National Grid is hiring a Recruitment Sourcing Specialist for our People Function. This position can be located in Brooklyn, NY or Waltham, MA.

Job Purpose

The Recruitment Sourcing Specialist works closely with our Recruitment Partners and uses innovative sourcing strategies and methodologies to identify and source candidates, finding and engaging with the best diverse talent in the market, delivering outstanding candidate experience and for building a strong talent pipeline for National Grid's current and future talent needs.

Recruitment Sourcing Specialists support our UK and US recruitment and are part of a global recruitment team.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Develop & execute a sourcing plan of action to meet immediate client hiring requirements.
  2. Create innovative sourcing strategies making use of forums, online networks, and internet interrogation.
  3. Identify passive candidates using online tools/networks/technologies.
  4. Create talent communities via LinkedIn and engage them with regular and relevant communications.
  5. Balance deadlines and deliverables for multiple searches at a time.
  6. Maintain data quality and accuracy within the company's internal database.
  7. Conduct ongoing candidate pipeline development activities and talent network expansion for active and future requisitions.
  8. Market mapping, business intelligence.
  9. Remain curious about emerging sourcing technologies and methods to help us on our journey to best in class.
  10. Candidate Assessment & Selection.
  11. Complete telephone screening calls with candidates to assess their suitability for roles.
  12. Provide diverse candidate shortlists within agreed timeframes.
  13. Engage with the candidate community to understand and map their career goals and motivations.
  14. Build great relationships with candidates, communicating with them throughout the process.

Qualifications

  1. Degree or equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a sourcer, recruiter, or related role.
  3. Proven track record of recruiting for a variety of positions and levels.
  4. A high degree of customer focus and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  5. Curious and creative approaches to engaging talent.
  6. Strong drive for results and a commitment to producing a high level of work efficiently and often within tight time frames.
  7. Excellent verbal and creative written communication skills.
  8. Strong presence and experience amplifying employer brand and jobs on social media (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), etc.).
  9. Ability to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change and ambiguity.
  10. Excellent candidate management skills.
  11. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise.

Salary

$69k - $81k a year in Brooklyn, NY.

$65k - $76k a year in Waltham, MA.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
